One of the things I love about photographing events is how my job takes me to cool places all over New York, like Chef Marcus Samuelsson's restaurant Streetbird Rotisserie in Harlem. The place oozes hip hop vibes and it set a fun, casual scene for guests last month as part of Time Out New York's private dinner that featured an appearance by Chef Samuelsson and easily the most spectacular and sparkly dessert offering I've ever seen. One of the staff members said that she actually scrounged up legit fireworks for the presentation!
