I met Clara and her family last summer and I was immediately impressed at how sweet and friendly she was, even going so far as to sharing her toys with everyone around her -- even me! And I was incredibly excited when Clara's mom asked me to photograph her second birthday at the NY Kids Club. I hadn't realized that such a place existed before I showed up and imagine my surprise when I walked into the backroom and found a child-sized gymnasium complete with a balance beam, horizontal bars, blow up toys and a huge trampoline!

One of my favorite things to do is drop down to the ground and see the world the way kids do. Getting down low to the ground so often is a workout! But it lets me see all those big smiles lighting up small faces as they race around finding new ways to have fun. Kid parties are the best because you can tell that everyone wants to be there!
