It's automatically special to be a part of someone's wedding day, and it's doubly special when it's for a friend like Katie and her swell new husband Lorenzo. And Katie's wedding was thirdly special because their wedding was in one of my favorite parts of Central Park, the Wisteria Pergola inside the Conservatory Garden (check it out if you haven't seen it yet).
It did manage to drizzle rain pretty steadily for the first hour or so but that didn't put a damper on the celebration and thankfully we had grabbed a clear umbrella to make it easier for everyone to see Katie's happy face. After the ceremony it looked like we were in for a soaking because the rain started to fall even harder, right up until we started taking portraits and then boom! all the rain stopped. That's what happens on special days :)
Congratulations, Katie and Lorenzo!
