Until very, very recently I never tried surfing, which is a borderline shameful thing to admit because I grew up in Hawaii -- and get this, it's fun! Who knew? (Yeah, yeah, everyone knew). And my experience surfing baby waves at Waikiki gave me an even greater appreciation for the surfers who can ride these bad boy waves up at Pipeline. These photos are from back in mid-January when they were on the verge of hosting The Eddie. I'm not sure how big the waves were, but they were big!
