(More of my photos are up on Time Out New York!)
Last weekend I found myself in Brooklyn at the Full Moon Festival, surrounded by lots of fit, attractive people 6 inches taller and 10 pounds lighter than me. I was there shooting the event for Time Out New York, so I did a bit of research and discovered a couple of interesting details, like how this year was the event's fifth and first time at the Brooklyn Mirage pop-up location that will disappear after this summer. And close to the stage was actual sand that, according to the marketing, was imported from the South of France. I'm not sure if I believe that, but the whole space really did create a music oasis vibe out in the warehouse boonies of Brooklyn. I was able to catch sets by DJ Oliver Nelson and Australian band RÜFÜS DU SOL, but I missed the cool light shows and later bands like Yelle because I had to run off into the night to meet my deadline.
