Summer is here and I have the sweat stains to prove it. The heat was especially potent on Sunday when thousands gathered together to run the Queens 10K race. I've shot races for the NYRR for more than five years now but only rarely do I get to sit on the back of the lead truck and take pictures of the fastest runners. It's not the easiest position to shoot from because of all the speed bumps but it does offer some amazing views of the field. This time I got off halfway through the course and then took pictures of runners as they streamed by landmarks like the Unisphere, Queens Theatre and Citi Field.
